Gu-Ikeda dialogue serial released in Japan

TOKYO, Japan: The Institute of Oriental Philosophy (IOP), a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing scholarly inquiry into Buddhism and other world religions, has begun serializing a dialogue between Gu Mingyuan, president of the Chinese Society of Education, and Daisaku Ikeda in the English-language issue of The Journal of Oriental Studies, Volume 19, 2009, issue. In the first installment, the two discuss the influence that one's hometown, family and early education have on one's character. (Click here for the full text of the dialogue)

Humane Education, a Bridge to Peace is the latest volume in Ikeda's Dialogue Among Civilizations series released by the IOP. The series includes exchanges with Dr. Axinia Djourova of Bulgaria, Dr. Ved P. Nanda of India and Nobel Peace laureate Adolfo Perez Esquivel of Argentina.
