NEW DELHI, India: Publisher Eternal Ganges Press has released Buddhism: AWay of Values, an English edition of a dialogue between renowned Buddhist scholar, Dr. Lokesh Chandra and Daisaku Ikeda. The two discuss the genesis of Buddhism; it’s transmission to cultures beyond India, subsequent influence on Western philosophies and relevance to the modern world.

An internationally acclaimed authority on Buddhist studies and author of more than 360 works, Dr. Chandra is the honorary director of the International Academy of Indian Culture and has also served as a member of the Council of States, India’s upper legislative chamber.

The two coauthors first met in 1979 and have since collaborated on a number of works, including dialogues published in Japanese in 2002.
