Panel in India discusses Buddhism: A Way of Values

NEW DELHI, India: A panel discussion based on Buddhism: A Way of Values, a newly published dialogue between Prof. Lokesh Chandra, director of the International Academy of Indian Culture, and Daisaku Ikeda, was recently held at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, reports The Asian Age. In its write-up, the Indian newspaper observes, 'Highlighting Buddhism's relevance in attaining a life free from suffering, the discussion veered around the two writers' examination of eternal issues like happiness and the triumph of the human spirit.”

Prof. Chandra took part in the program as a panelist, while Ikeda contributed a message, which read in part, 'It is my sincere hope that this publication will help resolve many of the issues facing humanity by raising high the banner of humanism, as we devote ourselves wholeheartedly to the cultivation of the human spirit based on dialogue.”
